Celebrating the life of
David Albert Rainey
8 August 1939 – 26 September 2024
Beloved husband of Kaye.
Treasured father of Sean, James and Bridget.
Adored grandad of Sebastian, Millie and Heidi.
Cherished brother of Peter.
Much-loved in-law of Eileen, Lyn, Ally, Vuong and Simon.
And wonderful relative, friend and colleague of countless others.
Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes.
Because for those who love with heart and soul,
There is no such thing as separation.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Melanoma Institute Australia would be greatly appreciated.
Too soon, too soon…so sad, such a vital, energetic, curious man. Deep sympathies Kaye, to you and your family.
A real gentleman and a great bloke. A fond farewell from afar.
So glad Marcia & I were able to visit David in hospital and catch up with some but not all the family. Such a deep and lasting friendship; our love and prayers to all the family, Jim McPherson
Dear Kaye,
The celebration of David’s life was an amazing tribute to him. He was much loved by Megan, I and our children. His impact on our family was immense and we will miss him dearly.
Love
Paul and Megan O’Leary
This poem sits on the wall in my kitchen and I find it very appropiate in remembering David my beloved cousin. The Kiss of the Sun for Pardon The Song of the Birds for Mirth You are nearer God’s heart in a Garden Than anywhere else on Earth
