Everyone is welcome

Tender Funerals Canberra Region regularly hosts events to support our community, improve death literacy and develop Tender and its place in the region.

What is death literacy? Death literacy is understanding your rights, responsibilities and choices in relation to your own death, or the death of others. It’s feeling prepared emotionally and practically. This could be having all your paperwork in order to make it easy for your family to honour your choices at a time when you can’t speak for yourself. Or, it could be feeling equipped to help somebody else on their journey to feeling prepared and accepting of what lies ahead.

Our community events can be invigorating social get-togethers for the curious, like our Tender Talks. They can be opportunities to connect your heart and hands with purpose, like our shroud-making workshops. Or they can be an opportunity for a light-hearted look at something deeply fascinating, like our Deathly Science in the Pub.

Whatever it is, everyone is welcome at a Tender event!
