Johnathon “Johno” Ian Motbey

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Johnathon Ian Motbey, affectionately known as “Johno”, who died after a long and courageous battle with illness.
Johno was a devoted fiancé to Kristy, a loving father to his cherished children, Grace and Bentley, and a treasured friend to many. His warmth, kindness, and unwavering spirit touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A passionate railway enthusiast, Johno’s love for trains – especially Garratt 6029 and Locomotive 3801 – reflected his deep appreciation for history, craftsmanship, and the simple joys that brought him peace.
A service to honour and celebrate Johno’s life will be held at Norwood Park, Mitchell. Family, friends, and all who knew and loved him are warmly invited to attend.
Johno’s memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved him. Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
