Barbara Wheeler is an artist who invites audiences to consider how we live in the world and what legacy we wish to leave the next generation.
Barbara is an experienced workshop facilitator with formal training in cultural heritage management, visual arts and communication. This will be a one-day textile workshop for up to 10 participants to create a bespoke shroud.
This workshop will be approached in a mindful way, as a guided process of remembering and interpretation. The artist will facilitate respectful discussions about shroud designs, feelings of grief and loss, intentional living and how participants wish to celebrate the end of life.
Barbara currently lives in Wellington New Zealand. She will be in Australia from May to August 2022, exhibiting and engaging in artist residencies.
