Who Are We?

Tender Funerals Geographe is a not-for-profit charity bringing compassionate, at-cost funeral services to Bunbury and the wider Southwest WA region. We believe that every family — regardless of income, background, or circumstance — deserves a meaningful and dignified farewell for the person they love.

We will offer a full range of after-death care services all delivered with honesty, warmth, and deep respect for your wishes. We encourage practices that support healing and give families a much greater say in how their person is cared for.

We are part of the nationally proven Tender Funerals Australia network, and we arecpermanently committed to operating as a not-for-profit. That means no shareholders, no profit motive — just people putting people first. A community venture, we will never leave families carrying large debt at the worst moment of their lives.

Where we are up to

We are opening soon in Bunbury — and things are moving fast.

Our Home: 25 Spencer Street, Bunbury

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of a local philanthropist, we have secured a permanent premises at 25 Spencer Street, Bunbury. The building is currently under renovation, brought to life by the support of local donors, grant funding, and a dedicated
team of volunteers. This will be the Southwest's first permanent not-for-profit funeral home.

Our Community

Since we began, we have been overwhelmed by the response from the Southwest
community — volunteers, supporters, and donors who believe, as we do, that dignified
funerals should not be a privilege. We are building something that belongs to all of us, and
will serve all of us, for generations to come.

Our Fundraising Campaign: A Vehicle for the Southwest

We are currently raising $60,000 to purchase and equip our own funeral vehicle-van — the equivalent of a community-owned hearse- van. This is one of the most essential pieces of equipment we need to operate.

Without it, we cannot collect loved ones from home, from hospital, from aged care facilities, or from communities across the region. The vehicle will be fitted with a professional rail and loading system and will serve families right across the Southwest — from Bunbury and Busselton to Mandurah, Collie,Manjimup, Bridgetown, Augusta, and beyond.

Every dollar raised goes directly toward getting this vehicle on the road and our doors open to the families who need us most.
