Tender Funerals Mid North Coast is a registered charity offering holistic funerals from our site in Wauchope to communities in Port Macquarie, Lake Cathie, Kempsey, Laurieton, Camden Haven and beyond. We are responding to a need in our community for more affordable funerals, wider choice, support for families and opportunity for participation in caring for a loved one after their death.

Every person is unique, and their funeral should reflect this. We provide a range of services across after death care, funeral/celebration arrangements and body disposal options – many based on sustainable principles – which enable you to have a much greater say in how your loved one is treated after death.

A community undertaking, we operate in ways that enable families and community to arrange a funeral that is authentic, meaningful and affordable. Kindness is our compass, we always put people and relationships first.

We encourage practices that promote healing, including participating in any aspects of the funeral processes. For example, you could choose to wash and dress your person and/or take charge of the funeral service. For those who want to participate in these and other last significant rites, it can be an enriching and life-affirming experience. Or, should you prefer, we can care for your loved one on your behalf.
