Moving with Grief supports community members who are experiencing loss and grief with free monthly yoga, gentle movement, meditation, sound healing and guided relaxation sessions.
Yoga and related disciplines have the potential to offer a healing path to people experiencing loss and grief. The practices offered can provide momentary solace but are also tools for long-term transformation. They can shift how we see death, how we live with loss and difficult emotions, and they can connect us to a supportive community.
This session will be facilitated by Jaye Roberts and Michelle Jordan, who will offer a gentle meditation and welcome circle and a soundbath with Gong and other sound healing instruments. Jaye Roberts has been working with sound for over 25 years and offers sound healing, massage, and Kundalini Yoga at her studio Sivana Bliss in Port Macquarie. Michelle Jordan is a holistic yoga teacher with a background in counselling. Through her practice, Expanding Wings, she offers gentle, whole-person support through yoga, with a focus on self-connection and emotional wellbeing.
Join Michelle & Jaye for an opportunity to connect and share with likeminded people, meditation and sound healing.
We will enjoy an afternoon tea following the session – an opportunity to connect and be with each other in a relaxed and beautiful environment.
All offerings are open to anyone in the community who is experiencing loss and grief. Grief comes in many different shapes and doesn’t always involve the death of a person close to us. We can grieve the loss of friendships, changes around our work or purpose. Everyone is welcome to participate in this program, regardless of the nature of their grief.
